Class G oil well cement is used to set in place the steel casing installed during the oil well drilling process. It differs from other types of cement in that it is able to set and harden normally despite the high down hole temperature of oil well drilling environments. Class G cement produced must complies with the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute and bears the official API logo.
